Received a notice saying your FCC License is expiring soon?
Atlas only sends notices to our clients who've requested the service by subscribing to License Guard services.
We send a Notice of License Expiration by first class US Mail. The mailed notice allows plenty of time to respond and renew a license without undue urgency. Sometimes the mailed notice doesn't seem to spark a response. When possible, we'll try alternative methods to contact a subscriber such as an emailed notice.

Below are a few FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and FMC's (Frequently Made Comments) pertaining to license renewals and even Atlas' expiration notices.
What's the hurry?
FCC licenses continue to be more and more difficult to get, making renewal much more important than ever and much less expensive than replacing a license.
Your license may have been granted prior to newer rules and regulations which would make it impossible to get that same license today, at any price!
What if I don't?!
If a license is not renewed prior to the expiration date, the license will be terminated.
Note: If the license is less than 30 days past the expiration date, a renewal may still be filed if accompanied by a waiver request. Filing a late renewal request with waiver substantially increases the expense of renewing a license.
Why did Atlas send this notice?
Atlas only sends notices to our clients who've requested the service by subscribing to License Guard services.
Either you... someone who works (or worked) for the licensee... or a radio equipment dealer assisting at the time the existing license was secured wanted the peace of mind to have protection from accidental license expiration and the potential related expense.
What's the latest I can renew?
Expiration means expiration. There really is no grace period. After the expiration date, a waiver is possible but it is costly and not guaranteed.
30 days after expiration, a renewal cannot be filed under any circumstances.
Atlas must receive your form and payment ten business days or more prior to the license expiration date.
This allows adequate time to file a renewal and follow it through the process, confirming every step.
Express filing fees apply when less than ten business days are allowed.
