About
"Construction Deadline" dates...
You must file formal notice with the FCC telling them you're using your
new frequencies before the Construction Deadline Date shown on your
license, which is one year from the Effective Date shown on your license, or
expect Automatic Termination of any
new or modified frequencies listed on YOUR license!
They DO send each licensee a
“Construction Reminder Notice” letter to make this determination. They
do NOT guarantee you’ll receive, or understand it! License Guard®
"K", or License Guard®
ADVANTAGE,
can protect you from this problem.
About
"Renewal Reminder Notices"...
Most FCC licenses are good
for a ten year term. The FCC DOES send each licensee a “Renewal
Reminder Notice”. They do NOT guarantee you’ll receive it, or cope
with the complexities of their electronic filing system! There is no “grace period”
for license expirations. An expired license may be impossible to
replace, depending on prevailing FCC rules .
